Clanmeeting in Scotland

For this purpose, around 25 MacLarens met at the Village Hall in Balquhidder. Good thing it was “inside” and the windows were tight. Because by now it was either wet outside or there was midge flight activity or both.

Inside it was rather spartan, but that didn't detract from the evening. The food was very tasty and we were able to have very good conversations in peace and quiet. Florian MacLaren welcomed those present and once again explicitly emphasized that he was pleased that “the Germans” took part in full gear and thus gave the Highland Games a completely different flair.

Since we were not only there privately, but also represented our assiciation, Ralf handed over a gift basket that we had brought with us as a welcome gift to our new clan chief Florian.

Ralf was also “the Piper” who filled the air in the Village Hall with Scottish sounds at the end of the evening. Of course, “THE TUNE” couldn’t be missed. Yes, exactly, “the German tune”.
